الأقربون أولى بالمعروف

"Those closest to you are most deserving of your goodness."

(Hadith, Sunan al-Tirmidhi)

The Legacy Fund brings the Prophetic legacy to life across the Pacific by distributing Zakat and Sadaqah to the eight categories outlined in Sharia — locally, within our own communities, as all schools of jurisprudence prescribe.

Why the Pacific Needs This

The Pacific is home to hundreds of islands with diverse needs. In Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and across the Pacific Islands, we’ve witnessed people embrace Islam in large numbers. While others invest in these regions for political or commercial gain, we come solely to share the Prophetic legacy.

Yet too often, new Muslims lack the support systems to deepen their faith and build strong communities. Without sustained support, they’re left to navigate their journey alone. The Legacy Fund addresses this gap by delivering targeted aid through our traveling scholars who understand each region’s unique context and can identify those most in need.

What We Do

The Legacy Fund channels Zakat and Sadaqah to support all eight categories of Zakat as outlined in Sharia, with a focus on communities across the Pacific Islands, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.

Education That Serves Each Community

Every region has unique needs. In the Pacific Islands, this might mean establishing a madrasa in a small town and funding an imam to teach 10 students locally within their own environment. In Japan, it could mean offering a scholarship to Al-Azhar University. These initiatives are often overlooked but are vital for the growth of Islam, and they fall squarely within the eight categories of Zakat.

Supporting New Muslims

Our priority recipients are new converts. Zakat provides for new Muslims, and all of our recipients fall within the financial hardship category of Zakat. This ensures new Muslims aren't left to navigate their faith alone — they're sustained, supported, and empowered to build lasting communities that will endure for generations.

Direct Delivery by Scholars

Every dollar of Zakat and Sadaqah is distributed directly by our team of scholars who already travel throughout the region as part of their da'wah initiatives. They see the needs firsthand, build relationships with communities, and ensure support reaches those who need it most. This isn't aid from a distance — it's personal, considered, and rooted in genuine connection.

Our Commitment

By traveling to these regions and providing targeted, meaningful support that makes sense within their context, the Legacy Fund seeks to make a lasting difference. Our only goal is to connect these communities to the legacy of the Prophet ﷺ — a legacy that serves as their salvation for eternity. We’re building a credible foundation for Islam to not only grow, but to become deeply rooted within the Pacific region.

100% of your Zakat goes directly to recipients. Administrative costs are covered separately, ensuring your trust is honored and your contribution makes the maximum impact.

About the Video

Our Vision

Watch Habib Kadhim and our scholars share the vision of the Legacy Fund, set against the stunning beauty and diversity of the Pacific region — from the forests of the Pacific Islands to the heart of Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.

The Legacy Fund does not financially support The Legacy Series. The Legacy Series is funded entirely by our event partners — grassroots community organisations across the Pacific who share our vision and commitment to reviving the Prophetic legacy. Both initiatives work side by side to serve the same mission, but remain financially independent.
