Al-ḥamdu lillāh. During his first Sydney tour, Shaykh Ahmad Maeno called us to a gentle, disciplined return to the Sunnah – loving the Prophet ﷺ through learning, remembrance, and action. He reminded us that love was not a slogan nor something automatically granted; it was cultivated by sound ʿaqīdah, sincere salawāt, and adab that shows mercy to creation.
Each gathering featured Qurʾān, dhikr, nasheed, and a main address. The Shaykh reflected on the blessing of Islam and the honour and responsibility of serving Allah’s dīn, urging families to build homes of light with prayer, remembrance, and good character. He spoke about humility in speech and online conduct, patience and hope in trials, and the beauty of living the Sunnah with consistency.
Audiences – young and old, new seekers and long-time students – left with clear, practical steps: daily salawāt, guarding the tongue, structuring the home around prayer, and small acts of service for Allah’s sake. The evenings concluded with communal duʿā’, leaving hearts steadier and more loving of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. May Allah accept what was shared, make it a means of lasting guidance, and allow that love to blossom into beautiful character, beneficial knowledge, and service.
